The mission of the Alaska Jewish Museum is to provide a home for Jewish history, art and culture in Alaska. AJM tells the stories of Alaska’s Jewish residents and their contributions to the development of the state’s industries, government, and culture from territorial days to the present. We’ll be taken on a virtual tour of the museum with three exhibits on display highlighted: Movers and Shakers in Early Anchorage, On the Wings of Eagles: Alaska’s Contribution to Operation Magic Carpet and Refuge in the Last Frontier: The Evolution of the Alaska Development Plan. We’ll also see several artifacts in the museum’s possession that are emblematic of the Jewish experience in Alaska.
