Senior Chai Trip to Beaumont

Join us as we discover some of the religious and historical sites of Beaumont, TX.  Our first stop will be at Temple Emanuel.  Rabbi Joshua Taub will guide us on a tour of the synagogue to see the 16 foot high stained glass windows and domed cieling boasting a beautiful Star of David Chandalier. He will share with us the history of this congregation that was established in 1895.  The day will continue with a buffet lunch at 2 Magnolias which is located inside the Art Museum of Southeast Texas.  After lunch there will be time to browse the museum.  Our final stop will be at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica (the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Beaumont and home to Bishop Curtis Guillory).  During this guided tour we will learn about the architecture, history and culture housed within the walls of this historic building.
