Sex, Sukkot and Serendipity

October 17, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Sex and religion don’t often mix. As a society, and a Jewish community, in particular, we do not know how to talk about sex, and we do not know how to nurture sexual aspects of our relationships over the course of marriage.

In an effort to improve marital communications around sex and intimacy and a desire to rekindle the chemistry of romance, HCRJ will be offering four workshops on ways to keep marriage sexy. These workshops will take place on October 17, November 7, December 5 and a date TBD. Underwritten by the Twenty-First Century Fund of the Houston Jewish Community Foundation, the workshops will be led by Rabbi Steve Gross, Bradley Frank, Ph.D., and Beth Liebling, J.D. Frank is a psychologist who focuses on the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. Liebling, a former divorce lawyer, is a relationship coach who owns Darling Way, a shop that promotes love, romance and intimacy.

The first workshop, “Sex, Sukkot and Serendipity”, is on Thursday, October 17 at 7pm at HCRJ. This workshop will focus on the joys and spiritual needs of sexual intimacy. The value and importance of sexual pleasure will be explored through the lens of Judaism and ways of keeping the passion and pleasure of sexual intimacy throughout one’s life will be discussed.

Please RSVP to  Justin at 713-782-4162 or Justin@hcrj.org.
