Shavuot Cook & Sing – Sephardic Style with Sarah Aroeste

On Wednesday, May 24th at 7:30pm, join us for a virtual Shavuot program – “Shavuot Cook & Sing – Sephardic Style” with Sarah Aroeste! Learn to make cheese bourekas with Sarah on Zoom!
Sarah Aroeste is an international Ladino singer/songwriter, author and speaker. She will teach us how to make cheese bourekas while singing related festive and Ladino songs in this interactive virtual workshop highlighting the Sephardic experience from past to present. The recipe will be sent prior to the program.
Inspired by her family’s roots in North Macedonia and Greece, Sarah is determined to bring Sephardic culture to new audiences. Since 2001, she has toured the globe presenting traditional and original Ladino songs with her unique blend of Balkan sounds, pop and jazz.
