Simchat Torah got shabbat?

October 9, 2015 @ 7:15 pm - 8:10 pm

Simchat Torah means “happiness of the Torah.”  Simchat Torah is a holiday whereby we celebrate the completion of the Torah reading cycle and begin to read Torah from the beginning again.

Join us for a very special Simchat Torah service on Friday night, October 9, as we finish the final words of the Torah and immediately begin anew, symbolically affirming our people’s eternal devotion to the teachings of our faith.

This got shabbat? we will be joined by an amazing klezmer band, KOSHER KLEZMER.  Klezmer Music is noted for its joyous melodies. One cannot hear the sounds of Klezmer without feeling the urge to dance (think “Hava Nagilla”). This year our celebration of Simchat Torah will be coupled with a magical world of Klezmer.

Celebrate Torah like never before and enjoy an evening of music and joy.  Immediately following services will be a world class oneg and Klezmer concert which has been generously underwritten by the Sucec family in honor of Denis Sucec’s 70th birthday. This evening of celebration is appropriate for all ages.

You do not need to be a member to join us in prayer as we welcome the Sabbath bride. All are welcome to join us at 7:15 Friday nights for Shabbat Services.  Immediately following services, we gather together at the oneg (joy) for cookies and conversation.
