Social Action Project: Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s 3rd Annual Pet and Senior Wellness Fair

In October, join us for our social action project at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s 3rd Annual Pet and Senior Wellness Fair!
This event provides services to both seniors and pets of Meals on Wheels clients. 200-250 seniors and 100-125 dogs are expected to attend. A mobile groomer will be onsite to provide grooming services for the pets and veterinarians will provide basic examinations, vaccinations and treatment for fleas and ticks. Vendors will provide dental, vision and hearing screenings for the seniors as well as blood pressure checks.
Our volunteer responsibilities will include interacting with IM clients, playing games with the clients, washing dogs, helping out at the food table and more.
