The Origins and Evolution of Jewish Life in British Columbia, Canada

March 9, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

From the hardscrabble towns of the Gold Rush to the metropolises of today, Jews have played essential roles in the history of British Columbia. As merchants and mayors, athletes, artists, social advocates, and more, community members have been innovators in all aspects of BC society for over a century and a half.

Join us for “The Origins and Evolution of Jewish Life in British Columbia, Canada” on Zoom on Wednesday, March 9th at 7pm with Michael Schwartz, Director of Community Engagement at the Jewish Museum and Archives of BC! The Museum collects and cares for documents, photographs, artifacts, and oral histories chronicling all facets of the community’s history.

Please sign up with Justin at 713-782-4162 or Justin@hcrj.org!

Program Partners: Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, Congregation Beth Israel (West Hartford, CT), Temple Israel (Albany, NY), East Brunswick Jewish Center (East Brunswick, NJ) and Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island (Spray Beach, NJ).
