Change Perceptions. Remove Stigma. Eliminate Barriers. The ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival promotes inclusion and celebrates the lives, stories and talents of people with disabilities, making an impact that lasts far beyond the Festival. Organized by the Jewish Family Service Alexander Institute for Inclusion in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, the mission of the festival is to bring systemic change to Houston’s families, institutions, places of work and communities to be more inclusive of people with disabilities.
The 2021 virtual festival starts on Tuesday, February 16 and continues through Wednesday, February 24. Highlights include:
- February 16: UP Abilities with Ali Stroker and Dan Habib
- February 20: Film – One Step at a Time
- February 22: Films – 25 Prospect Street and The Sock Guys
