Teri Schwartz Goldfield is the Chair in Charge of Friday night Oneg’s at Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism. She has Co- Chaired of HCRJ’s Mitzvah Day for the past 4 years. Teri was coordinator of the Junior Candy Stripers at Memorial Southwest Hospital in the early 70’s. Having served on Congregation Beth Israel’s First PTO Board, Teri was a Vice President before the Beth Israel Day School became Shlenker. After which she ran six Book Fairs at Kolter Elementary School and through those six years Teri helped encourage the young children want to read more. In retail sales, she sold children’s clothing in two small boutiques for over 10 years. In 1991 she and her husband had a joint venture of operating 7 Volleyball Courts in the Sand. Sales has always been a part of Teri’s career, selling lighting fixtures in the family business until her husband Lennie asked her to join his company where she overseas incoming stock and is secretary/bookkeeper for the company. Baking children’s themed Birthday cakes became a small business for Teri in 1983 while raising her two children. In her spare time she enjoys baking for others as well as HCRJ’s Oneg’s. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Lennie, daughter Michelle and her husband Burton and their two children Justin and Madison as well as her son Craig and his wife Katie and their two children Caleb and Brynne.
