Participate in volunteer projects benefitting 2 organizations during Thanksgiving Week!
Jewish Community Center Meals on Wheels Program
The Jewish Community Center is looking for delivery drivers on Monday, November 23-Wednesday, November 25 from 10:30am-1pm to deliver meals to homebound seniors. Meal pickup is from 10:15-10:45am at the Jewish Community Center (5601 South Braeswood Boulevard, Houston, TX 77096). The cooler for cold items and a bag for hot ones will be provided by the JCC. Client names, addresses and instructions will be provided at the time of meal pickup. You will need a GPS. Sign up as a delivery driver individual or family here.
Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston Meals on Wheels Program
Interfaith Ministries needs 300 more volunteers for its Friendly Neighbor Call Team. With the Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston Meals on Wheels Program not delivering on Thanksgiving this year, you can still deliver holiday joy to homebound seniors via personal phone call on Thanksgiving Day from 10am-12pm. You can make as few as 10 calls and as many as 30. You’ll be provided access to a Virtual Phone Bank to make your calls to IM clients, so the calls will not come from your area code and phone number. More details and training to come as the event nears. Sign up for this opportunity here.
