Counseling and support
Joan and Stanford Alexander Jewish Family ServiceMental health counseling, disability services, career help and chaplaincy, for people of any age and any faith. If something is wrong and you are not sure where to begin, begin here.

Hebrew Free Loan AssociationWhen there is no other source of funds for rent, food, medical care or tuition, HFLA lends to Houston Jews with no interest and in confidence. Applications are handled quietly, and nobody else needs to know.

Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community CenterSeventy years of somewhere for Houston families to be together. Fitness, arts, preschool, camp and senior programs, in a building that welcomes members and guests alike.

Turning Point CenterFood, shelter and rehabilitative services for people over fifty who cannot keep themselves safely housed. Every Christmas Day, HCRJ volunteers serve lunch there and stay to sing carols.

Union for Reform JudaismHCRJ is a Reform congregation and the URJ is the body we belong to. Worship resources, social justice work, and the summer camps a good many of our children grow up going to.

Want to volunteer with one of them?
Most of our work with these organizations runs through the congregation, so the office is the quickest way in. Turning Point in particular always needs more hands on Christmas Day.
