Family Shabbat Services

The first Friday of every month is our Family Shabbat Service.  Join us at 7:15 PM in worship where we will use our newly printed Family Shabbat prayer book.  Rabbi Gross’ stories are always the best!

This Friday night we welcome back all our “happy campers” with a camp style family Shabbat. Members, friends and campers ages K-12th grade, are invited to join Rabbi Gross and the HCRJ team along with song leaders from Greene Family Camp for a wonderful welcome back Shabbat.

Following services, we will have oneg and as a special treat: TIE DYE with GFCs own Suzie Daum! Bring your favorite camp swag (100% cotton is best) and tie dye with us!

Please RSVP to  hcrjyouth@hcrj.org if you want to stay and tie dye. Parents are welcome to participate as well.

All are welcome to join us at 7:15 Friday nights for Shabbat Services. You do not need to be a member to join us in prayer as we welcome the Sabbath bride. Immediately following services, we gather together at the oneg (joy) for cookies and conversation.

Family Shabbat Dinner

On the first Friday of every month, we meet at 6:15 PM to enjoy a delicious meal before services.  The menu changes monthly and is prepared by different families in the congregation. The February menu includes Brisket, smoked chicken, vegetarian red beans, cajun rice, cooked greens, salad, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and king cake.

Cost is $5 per person over 4 years of age.  Anyone interested in finding out more about our community is welcome to attend.  We always serve salad, chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese.  Check the bulletin for this month’s full menu.

Family Shabbat & Teacher Appreciation Dinner

On the first Friday of every month, we meet at 6:15 PM to enjoy a delicious meal before services.  The May menu is  Cinco de Mayo cuisine and includes Chicken and beef fajitas, flour tortillas, rice, beans, chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.

Cost is $5 per person over 4 years of age.  Anyone interested in finding out more about our community is welcome to attend.
